HostMonster has provided quality web hosting solutions to thousands of business and personal web sites since 1996. They are a little higher priced but their package includes a lot of great features.
Though our tests show performance issues, our tests also prove host monster to be very reliable and secure.

Hosting Value
At $6.95 per month, HostMonster hosting is not the cheapest we’ve reviewed. Sure, they offer unlimited bandwidth, unlimited disk space and unlimited add-on domains, but doesn’t most hosting providers do that now?
Keep an eye out for special promotions. If you can find their hosting service for $3.95/month, we can say it’s a good value, but for $6.95/month, not so much.

Performance
Performance at best, is average. We found, the server we tested on, to have slow load times. This is probably due to users abusing their unlimited privileges.
When it comes to performance, Host Monster needs to improve. Especially when it costs $6.95/month.

Reliability And Security
Overall Host Monster Hosting is reliable and secure. They have UPS power backup and a backup generator. They also provide their clients with courtesy site backups.
Our tests show Host Monster to be very reliable with an average uptime of 99.89%.
Customer Support
Host Monster does a great job when it comes to customer service. Our test calls were answered in under a minute and in one case under 30 seconds! The phone rep was knowledgeable and very helpful. Their live chat was good too. Answers were quick and on point.
Overall, our experience with HostMonster customer support was great.

If you want to renew your websites manually this is not the place for you. I have been a customer since 2007 and I am fed up! Continually my renewal preferences were tampered with and had several near misses of my accounts be automatically renewed against my wishes!
Well it happend again and my bank is licking it’s chops for MONEY! Thank you hostmonster…
Finally, your billing department admitted that by company policy all manual renewal preferences are reset to automatic renewal for the next cycle.
I kid you not! Unless you know this you’ll get hit with one or more websites renewing all at once and your bank will love the payday…I am moving to an honest site that honors my wishes not it’s own pocket book.
